_The holidays are upon us. They are supposed to be joyful and celebratory times, but for many people it brings increased stress and busier schedules.  This is also true for your patients and your staff.

It’s important that you and your practice are prepared to handle the consequences of changing lifestyles during this time.

Be prepared to handle patient objections about money and scheduling.

Center your communication with your patients on scenarios that will help them stay healthy during the holidays (exercises to reduce the effects of stress, eating right, getting adjusted despite busy schedules, etc.)

Consider having extended holiday hours to accommodate the busier schedules of patients.  We can talk during your consultation call if this is an appropriate move for you.

Keep your mind right each day with positive thoughts.  Read your affirmations and goals daily. Pick a new positive book to read (“Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway” is a great book).

Remember to take some personal time each day to decompress, renew and rejuvenate your mind and body. Encourage your staff to do the same.

The staff should continue to act as a team and keep each other in check when any stress or negativity seeps in.

Be strong with your marketing to keep the new patient flow coming in during the holidays: for example, offer some complimentary Health Pass gift passes to patients to give their loved ones.

These are a few of the things you can do to keep your practice in balance during this time. Let us know of any challenges you face that may warrant extra advice or motivation to overcome.
